Unicorns of Love qualify for DreamHack Leipzig Winternational

The open qualifier for DreamHack Leipzig Winternational has been won by Unicorns of Love and the attendee list for the four-team event has now been finalized.

The €10,000 event will take place as a part of DreamHack Leipzig, with four teams from the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) set to compete at Leipziger Messe on February 16. Three teams were invited to the Winternational directly: ALTERNATE aTTaX, Sprout and expert, with the last spot left up for grabs via an open qualifier.

Only teams with a majority from the DACH region were allowed to compete in the qualifier, with the likes of EURONICS, Berzerk and Unicorns of Love fighting for the LAN spot.

In the end, Unicorns of Love reached the grand final, where they defeated "no swearing given", a squad featuring Robin "⁠r0bs3n⁠" Stephan and Jan "⁠LyGHT⁠" Patocka, 2-1. More details about the teams that competed and scores are available on the Challengeme.gg tournament page.
