The lowerbracket at the Global Challenge in Dubai ended with GamePlay eliminating yet another Scandinavian team.
GamePlay eliminated the two Swedish teams, fnatic and SK Gaming, earlier on their way through the lowerbracket. Next enemy on their way should be mTw from Denmark. The two meet at Global Challenge in Los Angeles, where GamePlay crushed the Danes. At first it looked like picture had change, but then the Fin’s striked back. GamePlay took the pistrol-round as CT with a holy-hand from naSu’s HE, killing four mTw members. The Danes did however take a very important third round, and from that point on, the teams switched to win round. The first half did go to the Danes with 9:6 as terrorists on nuke.
Second half as CT mTw should have the “map-advantage”, but a ignited GamePlay gave mTw a taste of what they were capable of as terrorist. Round by round ticked to GamePlay, forcing mTw to call a timeout. The timeout did however not do much of a difference as GamePlay continued to crush the mTw defense. A poor CT performance from mTw, ended with a 10:2 win for GamePlay as terrorist, and a 16:11 overall score for the Finnish team.
