fragbite has announced that its next Masters season will give away 600,000 SEK (~$70,000)
Just three months after the end of fragbite Masters Season 4, which saw Team SoloMid scoop the big prize of nearly $27,000 after beating fnatic in the final, the Swedish company has unveiled the first details about the newest iteration of the tournament, which will run from September 5 to December 6.
A sixth of the season's prize pool will go towards the fragbite Masters Champions Showdown, which will see TSM and fnatic go head-to-head on Saturday, in Stockholm, in a best-of-five clash.
TSM are the reigning fragbite Masters champions
Sixteen teams will compete in fragbite Masters 5, which, unlike the previous seasons, will not feature a group stage. Instead, the teams will be placed in a best-of-three, single-elimination bracket to determine which three sides will join the winner of Saturday's Champions Showdown at the season finals, in December.
Half of the 16 teams will be directly invited by fragbite, while the remaining half will come from online qualifiers, which will run from September 7-30.
Below you can find the full schedule for fragbite Masters 5:
